AT THE BORDER

  1. If you rented a car and drove to the border between Belize and Guatemala, leave it at the parking lot (the only one there) so you don’t have to do 45 minutes of paperwork. It’s a safe spot where they have guards and security cameras. Sometimes they charge $2.50 USD to leave your car parked there.

  2. As you go through Belize customs, they charge $20.00 USD to leave the country (but not to enter the country). Pay with cash.

  3. Before you exit Belize customs, ensure that your passport is stamped.

  4. As you leave customs, you will see us waiting for you with your name on a sign.

  5. We will take you to Guatemalan customs stamp where your passport will be stamped again. There is not an entrance or exit fee at the border.

  6.  Before we leave, withdraw money from the ATM for your Tikal tickets, lunch, and souvenir, etc. The debit or credit card you use should have a security chip.
