ITINERARY

• 12:00 p.m. – When we meet you and pick you up at your hotel t you to take you to have lunch.

• 3:00 p.m. – We arrive at Tikal National Park and begin our walk through the park visiting the most impressive sites.

• 6:30 p.m. – The tour ends at the Tikal parking lot and we drive back to Flores.

• 8:00 p.m. – We arrive back in Flores to drop you at the airport or your hotel.

 

ADMISSIONS & TICKETS

we will have to buy your entrance tickets ahead of time using your government-issued ID (Guatemalans) or passport (foreigners).

we will need to purchase two entrance tickets: 1) a ticket for general park admission, valid during the day (Q.25 for locals and Q.150 for foreigners) and 2) a ticket sunset entrance, valid after 6 p.m. (Q.20 for locals and Q.100 for foreigners). Total cost is  Q,45  for Guatemalans and Q.250 per person for foreigners.

Tickets are sold at any Banrural Bank and at the main entrance of the park. The Banrural Bank (in Santa Elena) is open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. in the supermarkets.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION​

1. There is no ATM in Tikal, so please withdraw enough cash in Flores.

2. We cannot promise that you’ll see the sun during the sunset tour. Only during 60% of the year are days clear enough to see the sun from the temple. But even on days that are not perfectly clear you will see and hear the jungle far below you.

3. If arriving at the airport, we will have a sign with your name after you come through baggage claim and exit the airport.
